In two months this was the amazing result! It didn't rot or even stick up the bag. The conditions were just right to dry it out and preserve it. It isn't brittle, it has a leathery feel to it. It may even serve a purpose for cooking. Who knows? I believe it is awesome and unique and will look wonderful on anyone's mantle.
