WAL-MART "TOP 12 TOYS OF CHRISTMAS"
CLICK HERE to see the Deal
With its annual list of the "Top 12 Toys of Christmas," Wal-Mart announced today an added incentive for early holiday shopping -- numerous, deep rollbacks on what the retailer considers to be the items on wish lists this year. Starting this week, Wal-Mart will announce rollbacks each week in this aggressive move to lead the market on holiday savings.
"Fulfilling her child's wish list is always first in Mom's mind, and right now she's scouting the aisles to see what's interesting, and what's affordable," said Chief Toy Officer Laura Phillips, Wal-Mart. "So we're starting early and aggressively with unbeatable prices on the items we know are on those lists."
This week, customers will begin to see price reductions from 10 to 50 percent on select toys. Select rollbacks to start include*:
New Savings Now:
-- Tonka Trucks (choice in assortment) -- was $27.44, now $19.76
-- Kid Tough Digital Camera (Fisher Price) -- was $64.88, now $54.88
-- Spider-Man Ride-on -- was $64.64, now $59.64
-- Barbie Island Princess Styling Head -- was $39.83, now $36.94
More Savings This Week:
-- Littlest Pet Shop Digital Pets -- was $12.84, now $9.97
-- Razor Ripstik -- was $93.93, now $77.77
-- Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader game -- was $18.96, now $12.88
-- Fur Real Squawkers Parrot -- was $69.96, now $54.88
-- NASCAR Ride-on -- was $199.97, now $177.72

"These items and our top 12 have our vote for the most interest, because we believe they meet all the right trends in activity, brand, play interaction, and technology which both parents and kids are after today," said Phillips. "It's now our turn to bring out their value, adding a great price to the hottest trends."

FurReal Squawkers Parrot from Hasbro -- (Ages 5-7) Talk about cool! Squawkers McCaw is a talkin', squawkin' and totally unpredictable play pal.
"You really can't go wrong with any of these toys," said Phillips. "We have re-arranged our selection in the aisles to make shopping a little easier, with identification on popular brands and top toys. As a constant Mom wants price, convenience and safety, and with our Toy Safety Net program underway, we feel confident delivering on all three this upcoming holiday season."

It is ok to post rumored sales, Walmart just doesn't want their printed ad posted before 11/19. _________________ Hot Deals --- Coupons Codes |

Walmart early rumors
According to a poster on an employee message board, they got these in, were told to shrink wrap them with black wrap, and the pallets were then put up in storage. These are just rumors
Laptop $348
Pool table $300
HD-DVD player $199 - Read this, seems Walmart is already selling those HD-DVD players for $198
I am sure the laptop is true as well. Some inexpensive laptop are hitting the market.
Genearlly speaking, those are really worth the black wrap. Best Buy has $399 or below laptops like every week and Toysrus has a $300 pool table in the big book. Hope thats not the best they can do. _________________ Check out all the latest Amazon Promotional Codes, Coupons and Deals Updated Monthly at the top of the Hot Deals Forum! |

In my extended family, I'm always the one who hits up Wal-Mart. Happens every year. I've been a BF Wal-Mart competitor for the last 8 years consecutively. I have a must read for those of you who may need some extra information, all the way down to n00bs.
First and foremost, none of the items are revealed until EXACTLY 5 AM. (Some Wal-Mart's may not adhere to this policy, but most do). Items at my local area are on a pallet and 'wrapped' in black plastic until exactly 5 AM. After this, it's an absolute madhouse!!
1. The ad day (Thanksgiving for most, leaked ads for others) make a game plan. Find products listed at other retailers that Wal-Mart also carries. Price Matching is a great way to extend those precious doorbuster hours. It's usually 5ish till 11:00.
2. Go to Wal-Mart at around 2-3 AM. The Wal-Mart in my area opens at Midnight to start preparing. They are only closed on Thanksgiving Day - and open at Midnight on BF. Start shopping those PM's way before 5AM!
3. TAKE SOMEONE WITH YOU! The only reason you need a help-mate is to babysit your cart. Having a cart-sitter will help you literally zoom through the store. Put them in a nice, central location so you can unload into the cart as needed. Guiding a cart and trying to get to that last 600 TC Sheet set with 14 carts in front of you is frustrating. TRUST ME!
4. DON'T freak out! If what you wanted seems to have been picked over by the buzzards, calm down. Last year I found the very same item (with identical UPC) on the regular isle. I had been willing to trample over the blue-haired lady in front of me to get the 600 TC Sheet set for $39.XX. They were OUT. I simply went down the isle with sheet sets and found the indentical item on the shelf - tons of them! (This was not the case with the idog, completely different packaging for the $10.XX doorbuster, so be careful!)
4. A. DON'T FREAK OUT again! If you can't find it there, immediately prowl the checkout lines! MANY people grab way too much in their excitement and then have a change of heart at the checkout line. You can actually just skip the "unwrapping" of pallets and get most items on the floor or shelves IN the checkout. Again, I've found many doorbusters this way. Don't just check there, though. Many items can be found strewn throughout the store as people have second thoughts (or not enough room in their carts).
5. Don't tick off ALL of the employee's. I have had some of them ready to slap my hands when I tried to see what was under the pallet wrapping. Someone seemed really ticked that she had to work that day. DON'T tell them that they should get another job. Especially try not to commiserate with other shoppers about what a witch she is. She might be the one bringing out the pallet of Portable DVD players later. And she WILL place them far, far away from YOU.
Hope this helps, Wal-Mart is a MONSTER but I love it that they PM! I can cover 4 or 5 stores in one stop that way. Out by 6 and at BB or CC by 6:15.
Any time you can streamline on BF, it's worth it.
At least to the serious shoppers. It's not really shopping. It's a sport.
And really, do you see football players carrying a PURSE? If it won't fit in your back pocket.....you won't need it!

Wal-Mart Coupon Policy Found on their website:
Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):
Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
Free merchandise (or Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
Store coupons
Phar macy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
Internet coupons
Soft drink container caps
The following are guidelines and limits:
Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
Only one coupon per item is permitted.
Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.
Although I have searched everywhere, I cannot find a price match policy. When I called corporate to inquire further, they stated that the policy varies and to check the service desk for your local policy. _________________ Coupons, Coupons, and More Coupons -- Freebies Free Stuff FREE -- Daddyo's Famous Hot Deals |

The interesting thing about Walmart is that they don't want us to display their Black Friday Ads before November 19th, and yet their subsidiary, Sams Club, is offering to email people the Sams Club Black Friday Deals early by signing up for their mailing list.
You can read it in the Sams Club Black Friday 2007 thread. _________________ Check out all the latest Amazon Promotional Codes, Coupons and Deals Updated Monthly at the top of the Hot Deals Forum! |

Black Friday Hint:
Walk around the store and look up: You will notice that they have already started to make large stacks of toys and other goodies on the top shelf of every toy aisle and on the floor in the garden department. In the past, these are usually the items that are in their BF ad. _________________ Coupon Codes ~ FREE Registration ~ DaddyoDeals Hot Deals |

Wal-Mart opens 36 stores in October
Supermarket operator Wal-Mart Stores has announced that it will complete the opening of 36 new stores and clubs across America in the month of October thereby providing jobs for 10,800 associates.
More than 4,300 associates have been hired to fill new positions at new, expanded and relocated stores, demonstrating the economic opportunities the company provides to individuals and communities.
The company is opening stores in 22 states in October and will serve diverse communities from cities such as Baltimore and Cleveland, to rural and suburban communities in areas including Brent, Alabama, Kingfisher, Oklahoma and Coral Springs, Florida. The final two October stores will be opened at the end of the month, including a new supercenter in Wasilla, Alaska.
COO Bill Simon said: "With these new store locations, we're strengthening our commitment to helping our customers nationwide save money so they can live better. As we head into the holiday season, we know families want quality products at prices they can afford."

Wal-Mart and Sam's Club will debut their Black Friday deals the week of Nov. 19. (says Sam's Club CEO Doug McMillon)
As TV prices continue to fall, we think the demand for LCD televisions will surpass plasma screens," he said. "Many people already have one flat-panel TV. This year they will pick up the second one, which is 50-inch or bigger, because the pricepoints are so attractive."
Early Christmas sales will be a little challenging, he said. "Between now and Thanksgiving we might not see electronic sales grow fast. People know that they'll get the best deals much later in the season. So they'll wait."
But is Sam's Club prepared for a late-season rush?
"We feel good about our inventory in electronics. We've been thoughtful about picking our suppliers and we placed out orders early," McMillon said.
Besides offering free breakfast to shoppers on Black Friday, McMillon said Sam's members can fax or e-mail their holiday lists at anytime and someone at the store will have the order ready for pickup.
In the future, he said the retailer was also exploring the idea of adding a personal shopper service to its membership program in which a Sam's Club employee would assist members with their entire shopping trip.
"We're not quite ready to talk about the new services that we want to add to make our new membership sign-ups more robust," he said.
Meanwhile, McMillon's ready to roll up his sleeves for the Black Friday rush.
"Every Black Friday I find myself visiting Sam's Club and Wal-Mart stores," he said. "It's amazing what happens at 5:00 a.m. once the shrink wrap is cut on the merchandise. Watch out for those elbows."
Which of Sam's "wow" gifts does he have his eye on?
"I'm excited about the car and the NASA trip," McMillon said. "You know the space shuttle will be retired soon. This would be something fun for my kids and I to see."

The pre-Black Friday promotion is part of a holiday marketing campaign that emphasizes low prices and premium brands under the overarching theme “Save money, live better.”
One example of the strategy is a forthcoming TV spot that showcases a Toshiba HD DVD player, which a fictitious wife bought for her husband at “an incredible price, even for Wal-Mart.” Another ad notes that “Wal-Mart saves the average family $2,500 a year.” It then asks, “What will you do with your savings?” _________________ Coupon Codes ~ FREE Registration ~ DaddyoDeals Hot Deals |
